Accommodation

You will need to book your own accommodation for ADG 2012.  Below is a small list of recommended places near the Informatics Forum. When booking, please ask for the University of Edinburgh rates for the Hotels and B&Bs, as most of them do one.

As potential bases for ADG attendees:

  • We can suggest the Travelodge, which is a decent budget hotel, close (10 minutes walk) to the Informatics Forum. Please note though that there may be some traffic noise during the day and early evening due to the hotel location (tip: request a room at the rear of the hotel) and that wifi access is subject to a fee (£20 for a week seems the best option for ADG).
  • If you are not on too tight a budget then we highly recommend the quieter, more up-market,  Ten Hill Place, which is only 5 minutes away from the Forum and does provide free wifi.
